The Launching Meeting for the Belt and Road Initiative International Institute of Smart Agriculture Industrial Science & Technology Innovation (ISAI)
1. Introduction
The Belt and Road Initiative International Institute of Smart Agriculture Industrial Science & Technology Innovation (ISAI) was approved in 2021 by the Chinese Association of Agricultural Science Societies (also known as the Human Resources Development Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs). It is led by Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) to coordinate Chinese partners and international partners from the Belt and Road Initiative countries on smart agriculture industrial science & technology innovation. The institute strives to promote the academic exchanges and cooperation, science communication and outreach, mutual mobility of graduate students and early-career scholars, and technology transfer related to smart agriculture. It is aimed at becoming integrated into the global food systems innovation network and making significant contributions to global food security. To share the latest advances and foster the collaboration on smart agriculture during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will hold the launching meeting for ISAI in April in hybrid format. We welcome you to join us physically at NAU or virtually via online meeting.
